Friday's Finds - 8/16/13

We leave for vacation today and let me just say - not a fan of packing.  And when I say 'packing', I mean trying to decide what I'm going to wear for the next week.  Last month, my family was in Arkansas on vacation, but that one is easy to pack for - just a weeks worth of bathing suits and cover-ups pretty much - we're on the boat all day!  But New York is a different story.  We are at the lake again, but the weather varies so much - especially in August.  So you have to bring the warm weather and cold weather.  We'll just leave it at for Arkansas, E and I fit in one suitcase, for New York - definitely two!

I was able to peruse a little this week though and thought I would share a few finds of the week.  Enjoy!

This looks like an amazing summer dish - especially with fresh tomatoes from the garden! Change up the recipe and add some fresh mozzarella.  My husband would LOVE this dish!  This is definitely going on our meals to try list.

This is such a CUTE way to cover a pillow - and no sewing is involved!  In Leanne's post, she gives a tutorial how to wrap the pillow and end with a cute knot.  This is a sure way to save some money!  Find some material out of your stash, or pick some up on sale, and wrap that pillow right up!

I LOVE this necklace.  And I have this exact one - after seeing it, I couldn't resist!  It is really wearable with many outfits, and is adjustable, so you can wear it at multiple lengths.  This is one item that got packed for New York!  Be sure to check out her Facebook page too, I was able to get this necklace free & just pay shipping and handling with a special she was running.  (This is not an affiliate link - just want to share it with you because I really love it!)

This a is fun way to fancy up that nail polish.  It was my nieces birthday last week, but we are celebrating in New York this weekend, and I picked up a couple of nail polishes for her.  We'll have to try this out!  If you follow the link above, it'll take you to the tutorial.

What a great gift idea!  This is a tutorial how to make an ordinary towel extraordinary - and it stays in place because of the ties.  I am definitely keeping this in mind when we start heading into the holiday season!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out my Giveaway going on right now for a Diamond Candle.
