#Manwich Beef Pasta

When I was given the opportunity to sample some Manwich flavors, I jumped at it.  They have three amazing flavors - Original, Bold, and Thick & Chunky. I was sent one can of Original and two cans of Bold, so Thick & Chunky didn't make the picture, but I did manage to pick up a can and try that flavor too, and it was delicious!

One of the things that I really like about Manwich is that it allows for Easy Weeknight Meals.  And even better - each can of Manwich is free from any artificial flavors and preservatives.  You can't beat that!  Easy, quick, and healthy - it makes for a great meal on those busy weeknights!

I love making Manwich Sloppy Joe's.  One of my favorite things about it is that it is one of those meals that kid-stopping power because they get to use their hands to eat a messy-licious meal, and it brings adults back to those memories they had eating it as a kid.  It's also a great meal in today's world because it requires the use of both hands - so complete focus is at the dinner table instead of texting on your phone or playing games!

With Manwich Bold, I tried making something a little different to try to convert my husband, who is not the biggest fan of Sloppy Joe's, so I made Manwich Beef Pasta.  I think I sold him on it!  It definitely changed his perspective towards Manwich, realizing you can use it for all sorts of delicious dishes and not just Sloppy Joe's!  Because Manwich is a hearty sauce with a sweet and tangy taste, and no meat is in the can, it can be used to make all sorts of things - from sandwiches to pastas and much more!  Check out what I made below:

First, I browned my ground beef over medium heat.  At the same time, I started a pot of water to get it boiling for the pasta - I used medium shells.

Once all the ground beef was browned, I added in some chopped sweet peppers and let them cook in the pan for 2-3 minutes (until they had softened a bit).

Next, I opened the can of Manwich Bold and added it to the mix.  I allowed it to heat through.

After the Manwich Bold was heated through, and the pasta was cooked, I drained the pasta and poured it into a bowl.  I then add the Manwich ground beef mixture to the pasta and mixed it all together.

Doesn't that look delious?!  To finish it off, I added a bit of shredded cheddar cheese to the top after serving it in bowls.

Below, I've included a quick reference to the Manwich Beef Pasta recipe I made above:

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 small sweet peppers (orange, red, yellow), chopped
  • 1 can of Manwich Bold
  • 1 box (12-16 oz) pasta (I used medium shells)
  • 1 bag shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
  1. In a small/medium skillet, brown your ground beef over medium heat (be sure there is no more pink and drain if needed).
  2. Meanwhile, in a pot, boil water.  Once it is boiling, add in your pasta.  (Cook according to the box directions)
  3. Once your ground beef is browned, add in your sweet peppers.  Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until softened a bit.
  4. Add in the can of Manwich Bold and heat through.
  5. Drain your pasta and add to a large serving bowl.  Pour your Manwich beef mixture over the pasta and stir until mixed together.
  6. Serve with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese over the top and enjoy!
